Antoine Griezmann has reportedly decided to sign for Manchester United this summer.

The Atletico Madrid forward, who was anonymous as his side were thrashed 3-0 by Real Madrid in Tuesday’s Champions League semi-final first leg, has agreed personal terms with the Old Trafford club, according to The Sun.

Per the source, Griezmann will earn £280,000 a week at United, giving him a basic salary of £14.56m.

The Sun claim Griezmann will pen a five-year deal, landing him £72.8m.

United will pay a transfer fee of £89m, thus activating a buyout clause in Griezmann’s Atletico contract, add The Sun, who claim that bonuses could see the overall cost of the deal rise to more than £170m.

Griezmann has scored almost a goal every other game in La Liga this season, netting 16 times in 33 starts, while chipping in with seven assists.

His Champions League strike-rate is very similar – five goals and two assists in 11 starts.

Although the report does not mention what squad number Griezmann will take at Old Trafford, it is likely that he will keep the no.7 he current wears at Atletico, as that shirt is vacant at Old Trafford, following Memphis Depay’s sale in January.
