Tottenham prepared to launch bid for £50M-rated England international

Tottenham are interesting in adding England and Everton midfielder Ross Barkley to their ranks, with Mauricio Pochettino believing that Barkley would fit in well with his squad, according to the Sun.

However Spurs, as reported by the Sun, who finished runners-up in the Premier League last season, would not be willing to pay the £50M valuation, which was also reported by the Sun, that Everton have for the midfielder.

Despite Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino’s belief that Barkley would fit in well with his squad, the Argentine is reportedly more than happy with the squad he already has at his disposal, as per the Sun.

Barkley, who scored five and assisted nine in 36 league appearances last season, only has one year left on his current contract, with the midfielder being offered a new deal worth £100,000-a-week, reports the Sun.

Should Spurs get this one over the line, it’ll definitely be interesting to see whether Barkley can command a place in Spurs’ starting line-up.
