Man Utd seal third summer signing, starlet confirms move as he snubs PL rivals

Man Utd have reportedly completed the signing of 16-year-old Ajax starlet Millen Baars, with the youngster confirming the move on his Instagram account.

While it’s not a signing set to make an immediate impact in the same way that Victor Lindelof and Romelu Lukaku will, Baars is highly-rated and has been tipped to have a bright future.

As per the Metro, it looks as though that will be with Man Utd, as after agreeing a deal in principle to move to Old Trafford this summer, he has now seemingly formalised that deal based on the change on his Instagram account where he states he’s now a United player, coupled with widespread reports that a deal is done.

The talented youngster is said to have been spotted by United scout Marcel Bout last year while working with Louis van Gaal, while Baars had informed Ajax of his intention to leave for Manchester in January but was forced to wait until the end of the season in order to secure international clearance.

Based on this image below, it looks as though the wait is over and he’ll make the move to Man Utd, where he’ll likely begin with the U18s and try to work his way through the ranks over the coming months and years.

It’s added in the report that both Chelsea and Arsenal were keen to sign him too which arguably is another indication of how good he is, but he has chosen United it seems with official confirmation from the club likely to now arrive in the coming days.
