Jack Wilshere is being targeted by West Ham, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth after resigning to the fact his days at Arsenal are numbered. Attacker Lucas Perez is also set to leave The Emirates after failing to impress in his first season with the Gunners.

The Sun reported on Sunday that the 25-year-old had been playing with the Under-23 squad in an attempt to try and regain a place in manager Arsene Wenger’s plans.

However, the paper claims the midfielder has conceded his time at the club is coming to a close, ending a nine-year Arsenal career that has been plagued by injuries.

Newcastle, Roma and Lazio are said to be interested in Wilshere too. The player may be available in a cut-price deal because of the amount of time he’s been sidelined, with the England international missing over 150 games for Arsenal, according to transfermarkt.

Wenger is moreover looking to get a bigger amount for attacking flop Perez. The Sun stated the club are asking for a substantial £20m for the Spaniard who scored just once in 11 Premier League games last campaign. He arrived for £17m from Deportivo La Coruna in August last year.

Newcastle and Birghton are front-runners in the race to capture his signature.

Arsenal supporters won’t be too disappointed to see the 28-year-old leave but may feel disheartened at the Wilshere news as it looks like they’ll be waving goodbye to one of few players of recent times who wore his heart on his sleeve for the club.
