Chelsea’s 52 goal striker will complete loan deal to surprise club, comes after £42m price tag not met from star’s preferred destination

Chelsea’s Diego Costa could finally seal his wanted move away from London but not to his favored former club. Atletico Madrid have failed to match the Blues’ £42m valuation. Therefore, Costa could instead complete a loan move to Las Palmas.

The Mirror have reported that the loan deal is likely to end in January which is conveniently timed with when Atletico Madrid will have their transfer ban lifted.

The Spanish international has been splashed upon the back pages almost everyday. His very own transfer saga almost feels longer than the history of football itself. And, while a loan move to Spanish club Las Palmas could feel slightly underwhelming, it will finally provide an end to the star’s dramatic endeavors to leave London.

The report suggests that while Costa favored a move to be reunited with his beloved Atletico in the Spanish capital, they have been unable to match the Blues’ £42m valuation. With the report suggesting that the need for an increased fee on the £30m that Costa was purchased for being simply unreachable.

The controversial striker has registered 52 goals in the Premier League since signing for Chelsea but his recent quest to leave London has been publicly pursued. The star has given interviews with the likes of ESPN Brazil revealing his want to leave.
