AC Milan are reportedly considering their big move next summer, and Lazio star Sergei Milinkovic-Savic is the man on their radar.

The Rossoneri signed 11 new players this past summer, and there’s no secret over the fact that they’re aiming to return to the Champions League next year.

Aside from the financial benefits of being back at Europe’s top table helping them balance the books moving forward, it will also prove to be a vital resource in their bid to bring in marquee signings to take them to the next level.

According to Tuttosport, as reported by MilanNews.it, Milinkovic-Savic has emerged as a favoured target of sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli, while it’s also mentioned that Arturo Vidal is another name that has been linked with a move to the San Siro.

Nevertheless, the Serbian international is arguably the more exciting name of the pair given he’s still just 22 years of age and is rapidly establishing himself as a real star in Serie A.

It’s noted that Lazio are likely to demand something close to €50m, but it’s suggested that might not be a problem for Milan with the Champions League windfall coupled with their relationship with Lazio president Claudio Lotito which could lead to successful negotiations.

Meanwhile, it’s reported by Calciomercato that Milan rejected the chance to sign Jack Wilshere this summer, as they weren’t keen on the Arsenal midfielder due to his injury record.

The England international has been linked with the Italian giants on a number of occasions, but as he currently continues to work on his latest comeback, it appears as though the long-list of setbacks worked against him when it came to a potential move to the San Siro as Milan were still in the market for another midfielder late into the window.
