Spurs star set to follow footsteps of Messi and Beckham with new sponsorship deal

Spurs star Dele Alli is set to follow the footsteps of Lionel Messi and David Beckham.

Alli, 21, is set to be handed a sponsorship deal by Pepsi according to the Daily Mail, with the England international reportedly set to sign a seven-figure deal with the drinks giant.

Both Messi and Beckham have worked with Pepsi in the past, and it looks as if Alli could be the next football superstar to work with the company.

Alli joined Spurs in 2015 from then Championship side MK Dons, and the midfielder has been thoroughly impressive since.

Last season, the England international showed exactly what he’s capable of, as Alli scored an astonishing 18 goals in 37 league games, as well as picking up nine assists.

This season has been a bit different for the Spurs talisman however, as Alli has only managed to score two and assist one in his seven league appearances so far this campaign.

The midfielder’s overall record for Tottenham is still one to be marvelled at, as the former MK Dons ace has scored 35 and assisted 25 in just 104 games for the north London side, a record which is even more impressive when you realise Alli is just 21.

If he keeps up his goalscoring record for Spurs for the next few seasons, it may not be long before we see Alli follow the footsteps of Beckham in more ways than one and secure a move to La Liga.
