Inter striker Mauro Icardi was the hero for his side on Sunday night, as his hat-trick secured a 3-2 win over AC Milan in the Derby della Madonnina.
Milan twice hit back through Suso and Giacomo Bonaventura, but they were ultimately left empty-handed as the derby spoils went to their rivals.
Icardi broke the deadlock in the first half with a well-taken goal, before playing a crucial role in the build-up to the second as he drove into the box and produced a superb improvised finish to double his tally.

He wasn’t done there either, as he kept his nerve in the final minute of normal time to slot home from the penalty spot and beat Gianluigi Donnarumma.
The win lifts Inter up to second place in the Serie A table, just two points adrift of leaders Napoli as the two sides prepare to square off next weekend.
Meanwhile, Milan fall to 10th spot after the weekend’s results, with Vincenzo Montella’s side picking up four wins and four defeats so far this season.
The encounter was a dream for the neutral as both sides went all-out for the win in the second half, and it was yet another brilliant Serie A spectacle as it continues to deliver in terms of entertainment value.
