Manchester United fans, we’ve some good news regarding the future of your manager.

It has been reported that Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho, who joined the club last summer, may be after a new contract with the club following his successful season last year.

The former Chelsea boss, who has seen his side start this season in fine style, won two trophies with United last season: the League Cup and the Europa League.

And it is now being said by the Guardian that Mourinho could be looking to sign a new deal with the club, however he will only extend his contract at Old Trafford should the terms he’s offered be a good enough reflection of the success he achieved last season.

Mourinho’s side have started this season in fine form, as United currently sit in 2nd place in the league table, just behind local rivals Manchester City.

The Red Devils boss had a fairly average league campaign last year, as the Portuguese sensation could only manage to guide his side to a sixth-placed league finish.

However despite finishing in sixth, the club still managed to qualify for this season’s Champions League due to the fact that they won the Europa League.

This season, things are looking a bit more promising for United fans, as their new summer signings Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic have hit the ground running at Old Trafford, and the Red Devils look a lot more likely to challenge for the title for the first time since the days of Sir Alex Ferguson.

Should they carry on like this, it may not be long before we see the Premier League title return to Old Trafford, which could in turn see Mourinho extend his stay with the club.
