Chelsea fans weren’t impressed with what they were seeing against Watford on Saturday, but the Blues did eventually manage to battle to a 4-2 win.
While that should lessen the pressure on Antonio Conte and his players for the time being, it probably won’t silence his detractors entirely who were out in force during the game as seen in the tweets below.
Chelsea ended a three-game streak without a win, which includes losses in their previous two Premier League outings, and so another defeat to Watford would have been a disaster with calls for Conte to go growing ever louder.
It remains to be seen whether or not they get behind the team following the win, as ultimately they showed great character and determination to get the three points. Nevertheless, there are undoubtedly still big question marks over their display and they’ll need to produce more convincing performances moving forward.

It seems as though Chelsea fans weren’t the only ones pushing the ‘ConteOut’ trend on Twitter, as AC Milan supporters were also backing the cause.
The Rossoneri have endured a disappointing start to the season so far, as they sit 10th in the Serie A table with four wins and four defeats.
Vincenzo Montella has unsurprisingly been the man to receive much of the blame, and similarly to Conte, he faces a crucial test this weekend when his side host Genoa at the San Siro.
A win will undoubtedly ease the pressure on his shoulders, anything other than three points will only result in calls growing louder for him to go after a summer in which the club spent heavily to rebuild the squad.
It seems as though Milan fans know who they want next, as that’s why they were more than happy to get behind the ‘Conte out’ movement…
