There was concern amongst Liverpool supporters on Friday morning, and ultimately they’ve been proven valid as Philippe Coutinho is reportedly out against Huddersfield Town.

Several fans took to Twitter to express their concern with the fact that the Brazilian international wasn’t pictured in training earlier this week, as seen in the tweets below.

In turn, many questioned whether or not he would be available for the encounter with Huddersfield this weekend, and updates have suggested that he will be sidelined.

As per Paul Joyce of The Times, the 25-year-old playmaker is out this weekend, while freelance injury analyst Ben Dinnery has added that it’s an abductor strain while could leave Coutinho on the sidelines against Maribor in their Champions League tie next week.

Further, it’s even suggested that Liverpool could be without their creative star against West Ham United next weekend, and so this is undoubtedly a real blow for Jurgen Klopp who is already without Adam Lallana and Sadio Mane due to injury problems of their own.

Coutinho has been in fine form so far this season, scoring four goals and providing three assists in nine appearances in all competitions. As a result, his absence will leave a big creative hole in the Liverpool line-up, one they could certainly have done without given Lallana and Mane are still sidelined.
