Real Madrid are ready to spend their way out of trouble.

Real Madrid are reportedly ready to respond to this season’s poor performances by splashing the cash on five new players in next summer’s transfer window.

Among them, three big names have been identified from the Premier League, with Florentino Perez said to be keen on additions in goal, defence, and attack.

Don Balon recently claimed Cristiano Ronaldo was keen for Real to try to bring in Tottenham playmaker Christian Eriksen in midfield, but he does not seem to be a priority for Perez.

Instead, the same source are now listing these three talents from Manchester United and Spurs as three of five possible new ‘Galacticos’ for next season to get Madrid out of their current slump.

1) David de Gea (Manchester United)

First up, United goalkeeper David de Gea is apparently being lined up in goal to replace Keylor Navas, who has never quite looked quite at the required level to replace a club legend like Iker Casillas.

Diario Gol recently reported that Liverpool could be interested in the Costa Rica international, so it may be that he’ll be on his way out as De Gea is then able to be brought in as the club’s new number one.

United won’t want to sell one of their most important players, but Don Balon claim he’s firmly in Madrid’s sights again after that botched transfer fell through right at the last minute back in the summer of 2015, as reported at the time by BBC Sport.
