PSG are under pressure to meet Neymar’s demands.
Paris Saint-Germain reportedly face interest in Neymar from Real Madrid and are readying an ambitious move in order to lower the chances of a transfer.
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is apparently now a target for PSG as they initiate contact with his agent, the well-connected Jorge Mendes, according to Don Balon.
Mourinho to PSG: Five replacements Manchester United could hire
The Portuguese tactician recently admitted he was unlikely to be at Old Trafford for the rest of his career, and talked up the footballing atmosphere in the French capital in an interview with Telefoot, quoted on Get Football News France.
The Sun have also previously reported that PSG are confident of luring Mourinho to the Parc des Princes, in an appointment that would likely please Neymar.
Don Balon claim the Brazil international is a fan of Mourinho, and that working under a higher calibre tactician could make him rethink his plans to quit for Real Madrid in the near future.
Diario Gol recently claimed Neymar’s father had been in talks over a move to Real Madrid, while Don Balon also stated earlier this week that his decision could rest on whether or not he wins the Ballon d’Or in his first two seasons in the French capital.
United will want to keep hold of Mourinho for as long as possible, though things have turned slightly sour for the former Chelsea boss of late as their title challenge looks to have faltered.
Mourinho has perhaps not had the desired impact since taking over at Old Trafford last season, only finishing 6th in his first year in charge and with his style of football often criticised.
The 54-year-old would surely find it easier to enjoy success in Ligue 1, though he has previously hinted that such a job would not appeal to him.
‘Maybe in the future I have to be smarter and choose another club in another country where everybody is champion. Maybe I will go to a country where a kitman can be coach and win the title,’ Mourinho was quoted by Goal in 2015.
