Barcelona and Spain stalwart Jordi Alba has been heaping praise on international teammate and Real Madrid star Isco.
This is according to Marca, who say that the former Valencia defender wishes that Isco didn’t have the form he has for the national side whilst playing for Los Blancos.
Speaking about Isco, Alba said “He has always played the same but now he is at an incredible level, one of the best in the world.”
The 28-year-old then added “”Even if he is an eternal rival, I do not mind recognising him, although I do not like to see him at that level in his club,”
Since his arrival at the Santiago Bernabeu from fellow La Liga side Malaga in 2012, Isco has been nothing short of sensational.
In 208 appearances for Los Blancos, the former Valencia midfielder has managed to amass a record of 38 goals and 49 assists.
For La Roja, the player has managed to clock up seven goals in 24 appearances, a record that shouldn’t be sniffed at considering the player’s fairly young age.
During his time in the Spanish capital, Isco has managed to full his trophy cabinet to the brim.
In his five years with the club, Isco has managed to help Madrid win three Champions League titles, one La Liga title, one Copa Del Rey, one Spanish Super Cup, two Club World Cups and one European Super Cup.
The player’s unbelievable ability on the ball and link up play with teammates Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema has seen the Spaniard become one of the first names on the team sheet in Madrid.
If Isco manages to keep up his current form, it wouldn’t surprise me to see the Spaniard pick up a number of Ballon D’or nominations in the next few years.
