Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino reportedly faces being without as many as nine players for the trip to Arsenal next weekend when the Premier League returns after the international break.
According to 101greatgoals, Harry Kane, Hugo Lloris, Dele Alli, Harry Winks, Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld, Victor Wanyama are all fresh worries for Tottenham, joining Michel Vorm and Erik Lamela as long-term absentees.
Despite Spurs’ strong start to the season, this could be a huge blow for their title hopes as they take on a major rival with potentially a second-string side next weekend.
It remains to be seen if at least some of the names mentioned can recover by then, with Kane, Alli and Winks possibly pulled out of England duty largely as a precaution.
Still, Tottenham need all their players to be fully fit as they take on Arsenal, having recently lost ground on league leaders Manchester City by losing 1-0 against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Kane, their top scorer, was missing that day and it showed as Pochettino’s side failed to look as much of a threat in attack.
