Speculation on Monday suggested that Arsenal have an ‘almost done deal’ for Lyon playmaker Nabil Fekir as they prepare for life without Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil.
The 24-year-old is said to be closing in on a £60m switch to north London, with Arsenal considering selling both Sanchez and Ozil in January to raise the necessary funds to complete a transfer. Both players are on expiring contracts and so it will also avoid the unwanted scenario of losing them for nothing.
Not all Arsenal supporters will be aware of Fekir as he has yet to make the big breakthrough to put him on par with Europe’s leading stars, but his statistics so far this season would suggest that he’s certainly on the path to doing so.
The French international has 12 goals and three assists in 15 appearances for the Ligue 1 outfit in all competitions, and the video below is an insight into what he can offer and perhaps why Arsenal are keen on snapping him up.
