England manager Gareth Southgate has heaped praise on Manchester United youngster Marcus Rashford.
The Three Lions boss, who took over from Roy Hodgson last year, described the 20-year-old as being a “very exciting player”, something that was reported by Sky Sports.
Southgate also went onto to talk about the player’s potential, saying that “For me he’s going to be a top player. He has all the attributes of the top players I’ve worked with, but he’s still only 20.”
Since making his debut for United in 2016, Rashford has been nothing short of a sensation.
The 20-year-old has managed to score 26 goals in 89 appearances for the Red Devils, with the forward also managing to bag 14 assists in that time as well.
This season, Rashford has been in fine form, as the Three Lions star has managed to clock up seven goals and six assists in 18 appearances in all competitions.

For Southgate’s side, Rashford has been one of England’s brightest sparks. Despite only scoring twice in 15 appearances, the Man United ace’s lighting-quick speed and want to attack gives England supporters the want to tune in every time the Three Lions play.
Should Rashford continue like this, it’ll be interesting to see just how far the youngster can go.
