Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly fuming with Real Madrid over their apparent transfer pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar.
Don Balon have mentioned the former Barcelona attacker as one of Real’s main targets to replace the unsettled Ronaldo, whom AS have claimed could be looking for a way out of the club anyway.
However, a latest update from Don Balon states the Portugal international is not happy to see Real showing an interest in Neymar, and that that could be behind his desire to quit.
The report claims Ronaldo is offended by the gesture from Los Blancos, having been an instrumental part of their recent success and broken almost every record there is to break in his time with the club.
The 32-year-old is likely to go down as one of the greatest players in the history of the game, though he hasn’t been on top form at the start of this season as he heads towards his 33rd birthday.
Real will clearly need to replace Ronaldo at some point, but it may be that they’re risking angering their star player by doing so too early.
From Neymar’s end, Don Balon have also previously claimed that the Brazilian is keen to move to the Bernabeu within the next two years, depending on his success at PSG.
