Mystery Tottenham snub explained, sparks exit talk as injury concern ruled out

Tottenham defender Danny Rose wasn’t included in the squad to face Arsenal at the Emirates in the north London derby on Saturday, and it wasn’t due to injury.

The 27-year-old made a brief appearance for England in midweek as he continues his comeback from a long-term injury, but he played no part this weekend with many believing that it was perhaps a precautionary move or even a setback in his recovery.

However, Sky Sports as well as freelance injury analyst Ben Dinnery, as seen in the tweets below, reported that he hadn’t suffered a fresh injury problem and was training away from the match day squad.

Again, that could still mean Mauricio Pochettino isn’t entirely happy with his fitness levels or simply didn’t want to risk him, but ultimately it wasn’t enough to stop speculation from spreading suggesting that it was another indication that Rose is going to leave.

It comes just a day after fresh reports that Man Utd will launch a January raid for the England international, as reported by The Sun, and so the supporters below suggesting that he may well have been dropped because of that reason, could be onto something.

It will no doubt be an area for questioning after the game with Pochettino likely to be asked why Rose wasn’t involved…
