Man Utd forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic has insisted that he’s more of a lion than a human as he explained how he was able to recover from injury ahead of schedule.
The 36-year-old returned to action against Newcastle United at the weekend after seven months out with a serious knee injury, and he was evidently delighted to be back, as seen in the video below of his post-match interview.
Naturally, he was always confident that he would be able to return and he’ll now hope that he can play an important role in United’s pursuit of trophies this season.
“Lions, they don’t recover like humans.”
“We’re doing the lions thing again, yeah?”

Meanwhile, Man City defender Benjamin Mendy has been making a lot of new friends so far this season due to his social media activity, and the Frenchman was at it again over the weekend as he poked fun at Ibrahimovic’s lion line.
Instead, he opted to compare himself to a shark, as he continues his rehabilitation after suffering a knee injury of his own at the start of the season.
It’s hoped that he can similarly make an earlier comeback than expected, but while he’s sidelined, we’re sure to get more gems like this one from him but Ibrahimovic may not see the funny side of it…
