Manchester United are reportedly prepared to prioritise the transfer of Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale instead of Atletico Madrid attacker Antoine Griezmann.
According to Don Balon, this could free up Griezmann to move to Real Madrid as Bale’s replacement, though this seems likely to be a blow to Chelsea’s transfer plans.
Another recent report from Don Balon claimed Chelsea boss Antonio Conte was keen on bringing in the Welshman to add some spark to his attack, but it now seems United are putting all their eggs into that particular basket.

ESPN have claimed Mourinho was irritated by United’s failure to strengthen out wide this summer as they missed out on Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic.
It would make sense, therefore, that United are now eager to sign Bale over Griezmann, with the former Tottenham man more of a natural wide-player than the Frenchman.
Both players have shone in La Liga, though Bale looks set to be on his way out of the Bernabeu after a disappointing couple of seasons hit by injury.
