(Video) Leeds United-Rhyl friendly ends in mass brawl as match abandoned

A friendly between Leeds United U23s and Rhyl FC ended in absolute chaos after the match had to be abandoned following a mass brawl.

As seen in the video below, players from both sides went at it as they reacted to a late tackle from Leeds’ Bryce Hossanah.

It took a while for things to settle down after the players were separated, and while the officials didn’t abandon it, Leeds U23 coach Carlos Corberan thought it would be sensible to take his players away from the situation.

That followed suggestions that he was upset with the overly physical approach that Rhyl were taking with the youth-team players, and so while these scenes won’t look good, it probably could have gotten a lot worse if they hadn’t of stopped the match as it would only have bubbled on…
