Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge has had his future plunged into fresh uncertainty following interest from Italian club AC Milan.
A report from the Italian sports outlet CalcioMercato has stated that AC Milan are looking to refresh their interest in the English star and could make a move for the Englishman in January.
Sturridge’s future has been in what appears to be constant jeopardy of late with the report also claiming that there has been longterm interest in the star from the MLS.
Sturridge has struggled to maintain any consistent game-time recently despite having bounced back from numerous injuries in the past few seasons.
The star is often seen as an understudy to Brazilian Roberto Firmino and with the added addition of Dominic Solanke this summer it has only added to the competition that Sturridge has faced this season.
Sturridge has started just eight matches this season in the Premier League with half of these appearances having come from the bench.
The Englishman has failed to register a goal tally in double-figures in the Premier League since he scored 21 goals in Liverpool’s 2013/14 season under Brendan Rodgers when the Reds pushed for the title.
It appears that Sturridge’s time at Liverpool is certainly looking to be uncertain and with big clubs such as AC Milan interested his head may be turned very soon.
