Tottenham defensive star’s future in jeopardy as Spurs boss hits back at ‘fuming’ defender

Tottenham star Danny Rose’s future may be in fresh jeopardy after Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino hit back at the defender who is reported to be ‘fuming’.

A report from the Sun has reported the comments from the Tottenham boss after the controversy surrounding Rose’s omission from the Spurs squad against North London rivals Arsenal last weekend.  The Argentine boss hit back at the star claiming “I am the boss.”

In the reported comments Pochettino discussed the Rose situation, “Of course they are ‘fuming'” adding, “But I am the boss, that is the problem for the players.”

The recent comments come just five days after the Mirror reported that Manchester United and Jose Mourinho were plotting a move for the English full-back.

The star has struggled to maintain any consistent game-time for Spurs this season with niggling injuries and off the field controversy often overshadowing his desire to play football.

Last month Rose’s future was thrown into further uncertainty after the defender was left out the club’s annual calendar. The Evening Standard reported that the incident was unrelated to Rose’s future. However, it certainly does not help to offer Tottenham fans any reassurance that the star will remain in North London.

With an added riff apparent between Rose and boss Pochettino the full-back’s future really is looking uncertain.
