Good news for Chelsea as Premier League manager reveals possible recall clause in Blues star’s loan deal

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has revealed that there is a possible recall clause in Chelsea star Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s loan deal.

This is according to Goal, who say that the former England boss revealed that the Blues can recall the player should he not be playing enough games for the Eagles.

Speaking after his side’s win over Stoke City on Saturday, Hodgson said “I have a feeling that they have the right to call him back if he is not playing enough games or featuring in enough games, which is a good clause.”

Should Chelsea suffer a midfielder injury crisis in the near future, the clause in Loftus-Cheek’s contract will definitely come in handy to Blues boss Conte, which can only be seen as a good thing.

Chelsea could re-call Loftus-Cheek from his Palace loan spell

Since his arrival at Selhurst Park from Antonio Conte’s side in the summer, Loftus-Cheek has managed to impress with his performances so far.

In nine league appearances for Hodgson’s side so far this season, the Blues loanee has managed to score one and assist one, with his only goal coming in his side’s 2-1 win over Stoke this weekend.

For Chelsea, the midfielder has managed to make 32 appearances, with the 21-year-old scoring twice and assisting five times in the process.

During hist time with the Blues, the England international has managed to help the club win two Premier League titles in the 2014/15 and the 2016/17 season.

Should Chelsea feel the need to recall Loftus-Cheek from his loan spell, it’ll be interesting to see if the player is used by Blues boss Antonio Conte.
