Barcelona finally sorting out the Lionel Messi contract saga has given the club a reported boost in the transfer market as they compete with Manchester United for Antoine Griezmann.
The Atletico Madrid forward has been strongly linked with the Catalan giants recently, with Le 10 Sport claiming an agreement is in place for him to move to the Nou Camp next summer.
ESPN, meanwhile, suggested Manchester United would be back in for Griezmann as well next year, while the Sun claim talks have already taken place over a move.

The French forward is one of the most exciting attacking players in world football at the moment so is likely to attract plenty of interest and speculation, and the saga involving his future has taken another turn after the announcement of Messi’s new contract at Barcelona.
According to Don Balon, this could now help Barca sign Griezmann and bring back their former midfielder Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich.
This will be music to the ears of Cules fans, with the prospect of Griezmann linking up with Messi a very exciting one to say the least.
The pair could form a lethal goalscoring duo up top for Ernesto Valverde’s side, having stood out in recent years as among the very best attacking players in La Liga and indeed Europe.
