Liverpool are reportedly keeping tabs on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s situation ahead of the January transfer window as he looks set to be offloaded by Borussia Dortmund.
The Gabon international has been a world class performer for the Bundesliga giants in recent years, but the Daily Mail report that he’s had a bust-up with manager Peter Bosz and can now leave.
Liverpool could do with more firepower up front this season amid a lack of consistency from Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, and the Mail claim Jurgen Klopp is a big admirer of Aubameyang’s qualities.
The German tactician initially brought Aubameyang to Dortmund when he was in charge, and he looks like someone who could be a great fit at Anfield.
The Sun note that the 28-year-old would still not come cheap, with his club likely to command a fee of around £54million for a player with 137 goals in 208 appearances for them in all competitions.

Still, in today’s market that almost looks a bargain, with the likes of Neymar and Ousmane Dembele moving for ridiculous money during the summer.
Both the Mail and the Sun cite German publication Bild as saying Bosz was fuming with Aubameyang for getting himself sent off in the weekend’s draw with Schalke.
The striker seemed to be blamed for Dortmund’s collapse as they threw away a 4-0 lead to draw 4-4 with their rivals.
Aubameyang should fit in nicely at Liverpool then, with the Reds similarly imploding last week as they went 3-0 up against Sevilla in the Champions League, only to draw 3-3.
