Luis Suarez and Paulinho have been the latest stars to join Lionel Messi in urging Barcelona to sign Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho.

Barcelona being linked with Coutinho is of-course nothing new. However, with the dressing room now firmly behind the board in their pursuit for the Brazilian magician it would appear that Liverpool will face their toughest task yet in keeping hold of their prized possession.

A report from Italian sports outlet CalcioMercato has revealed that stars such as Luis Suarez and Paulinho have joined onto the group of players putting pressure on the board to strengthen their squad with the addition of Coutinho.

Further, the report suggests that Lionel Messi and Javier Mascherano have already expressed their desire to see the 25-year-old arrive at the Nou Camp after being impressed by the star during an international clash.

Barcelona lodged a bid of £138m (per ESPN) for the star in the summer but were rebuffed by Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool who seem insistent to hold onto their star. It would appear however that pressure is now coming from all angles to bring Coutinho to Spain.

Paulinho is an international teammate of Coutinho’s and while he may appear to be the least notable star vying for Liverpool’s playmaker to join the Nou Camp, he could perhaps be the most important star in the negotiations.

Brazilian teammates Coutinho and Paulinho are likely to be close friends and we would not put it past the Barca midfielder to drop a few words towards the Liverpool man during the next international break persuading the star to come to Spain.
