Chelsea and Tottenham have been told that Watford forward Richarlison is not currently for sale amid recent transfer speculation over the player’s future.
According to the London Evening Standard, both the Blues and Spurs have been considering moving for the 20-year-old attacker, who has impressed since moving to the Premier League this season.
Richarlison, 20, looks one of the most promising young players in the top flight, and has helped Watford make a fine start and reach 8th place in the Premier League table.
Still, this has only persuaded Watford of the importance of keeping hold of him, which will come as a blow to Chelsea and Tottenham in their pursuit of the young Brazilian.

‘We want Richarlison to be here for many more seasons. We are building a very competitive squad, we have no need to sell,’ chief executive Scott Duxbury told the Evening Standard.
‘We believe in the season being a race and that’s why we will never sell a player in January who we believe will help us. Nobody will be sold that we don’t want to. None of the players making an impact now will go.’
