Jose Mourinho’s Man United have been dealt a big boost ahead of their match against Arsenal this weekend, as Gunners boss Arsene Wenger confirmed key forward Alexandre Lacazette will miss the clash through injury.

This is according to the Daily Mail, who state that the France international, who joined the north London side over the summer in a club-record deal, picked up a groin injury in his side’s 5-0 win over Huddersfield this evening.

Speaking after the match, Wenger said “Lacazette has a groin problem and will be out certainly for Saturday’s game.”

Arsenal will be without Lacazette for United’s visit on Saturday

Since his arrival from French side Lyon in the summer just gone, Lacazette has manage to get Arsenal fans off their seats with his performances.

In 14 appearances for the Gunners, the Frenchman has managed to clock up a record of six goals and one assists, a fairly decent record considering this is the forward’s first season in England.

For Lyon last season, the 26-year-old was in the form of his life. In 30 league games for the Ligue 1 side, Lacazette managed to score an astonishing 28 times, with the player also getting three assists in the process.

Lacazette’s world class finish and Thierry Henry-like movement off the ball has seen some fans label the player as one of the best forwards in Europe.
