Real Madrid plan to launch swap deal to beat Manchester United to £170million transfer

Real Madrid are reportedly preparing to offer Gareth Bale a transfer back to Tottenham as they bid to sign rumoured Manchester United transfer target Harry Kane.

The England international has been in deadly form in front of goal again this season, with the Sun reporting earlier in the season that the Red Devils were prepared to pay as much as £170million for him.

Kane could be a fine addition for any top side, but it looks like the advantage could be with Madrid at the moment if latest reports from Spain are anything to go by.

According to Don Balon, Real boss Zinedine Zidane is losing patience with the injury-prone Gareth Bale, and is open to letting him rejoin Spurs if it can help smooth over a deal for Kane.

The 24-year-old certainly looks a necessary purchase for the club at this moment in time as the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema struggle for form in La Liga.

Despite being key members of one of the best attacks in the world in recent years, the duo have just four La Liga goals between them this season.

Kane, meanwhile, is on 10 for the campaign and has shown he can cut it at the top level in Europe as well with six in five appearances in the Champions League.

United don’t exactly look short of options up front right now with Romelu Lukaku and Zlatan Ibrahimovic as options, but some might feel the addition of Kane, no matter how expensive, would represent a major upgrade in that area.
