Manchester City are reportedly the new bookies’ favourites to seal the transfer of Liverpool midfielder Emre Can on a free next season.
The Daily Star recently linked the Germany international with a surprise move to the Etihad Stadium, and the Daily Mirror now report that Sky Bet have City ahead of the likes of Juventus in the running.
City could certainly do with a defensive midfield player of Can’s quality in their ranks, with Yaya Toure now past his best and some doubts over Fernandinho despite his improvement this season.

Can has been immense for Liverpool in recent times and would be a big loss for manager Jurgen Klopp, especially if he moves to a Premier League rival.
Tuttosport recently claimed the Reds ace already had an agreement with Juventus, but it may be that other clubs still have some hope of winning the race for his signature.
