It was a frustrating evening for Arsenal fans on Saturday, as they saw their side fall to a 3-1 defeat to rivals Man Utd in a pulsating encounter at the Emirates.
Early goals from Antonio Valencia and Jesse Lingard put the visitors up 2-0 after just 11 minutes, but the Gunners came roaring back thereafter and had countless opportunities only to be denied by an inspired David De Gea.
Alexandre Lacazette reduced their deficit, but a second-half effort from Lingard wrapped up the three points for United who also had Paul Pogba sent off in an enthralling game.
However, ultimately Arsenal ended empty-handed, and that was a source of real frustration for ArsenalFanTV regulars DT and Troopz, as seen in the videos below.
The pair were rightly irritated after the slow start that the Gunners made, but they did take positives away from the game in that the players showed fight and spirit to mount a comeback and looked the better side for the majority of the clash.
One specific point will undoubtedly spark debate though, as DT suggested that Lacazette did enough on Saturday, and in general so far this season, to suggest that he’s better than United frontman Romelu Lukaku.
While Lacazette has bagged eight goals in 15 Premier League games, Lukaku has managed the exact same tally in the league, but with 12 in 22 appearances in all competitions.
However, the Belgian ace has been heavily criticised for firing blanks in the big games this season, failing to find the back of the net against Liverpool, Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal so far this year.
In turn, perhaps DT makes a valid point as even when not scoring Lacazette contributes to Arsenal’s build-up play and he cost significantly less albeit he’s two years older, but naturally there will be many who strongly disagree with his suggestion.
Who’s better? Lacazette or Lukaku?
