“He certainly makes Manchester United a lot stronger” – Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard praises Man United ace, gives advice on how player can improve his game

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has been waxing lyrical about Man United ace Paul Pogba, however the ex-England ace had one word of advice on how the Frenchman can improve his game.

This is according to the Sun, who state that Gerrard has said that the France international needs to add to the defensive side of his game in order to better himself as a player.

Speaking about Pogba, Gerrard said that “He’s growing all the time – I think he certainly makes Manchester United a lot stronger”

Gerrard then went on to comment about how Pogba can improve saying that “I think if there’s one small, tiny criticism of this player it would be that he goes forward maybe too much. If he’s playing in central midfield with one other player i.e. a Nemanja Matic, he might leave him a bit exposed.”

Man United ace Pogba has been advised to work on his defensive side by Gerrard

Since arriving from Juventus in the summer of 2016, Pogba has been very impressive for the Red Devils.

In 70 games so far for Jose Mourinho’s side, the midfielder has been able to score 12 and assist 12.

Pogba’s ability is clear to see, with it being obvious how much United miss the 24-year-old when he’s not on the pitch for them.

The player’s passing range and ability on the ball has seen some label him as one of the best midfielders in the league, with some declaring him a future Ballon D’Or winner.

The Frenchman’s ability to link up with Romelu Lukaku and Anthony Martial this season has been apparent, as the trio have combined time and time again to put United’s the opponents to the sword on multiple occasions.
