Chelsea succumbed to a 1-1 draw with Spanish giants Atletico Madrid tonight as the Blues finished second behind Roma in their Champions League group.
The Spanish side opened the scoring through midfielder Saul Niguez after forward Fernando Torres flicked on a cross.
Antonio Conte’s side equalised in the 75th minute, after a drilled cross from Eden Hazard saw Savic turn the ball into his own goal to level the scores up.
Chelsea failed to beat Jan Oblak in the Atletico goal for the rest of the night, as Antonio Conte’s side finished as runners-up in their group, meaning that they face either PSG, Sevilla, Barcelona or Besiktas in the next round.
During the match, winger Willian had an absolute shocker, with all of the Brazilian’s attempts to put the Blues ahead failing, which lead fans to compeletly slate the 29-year-old.
Here are a few select tweets from fans about the Brazilian lacklustre performance tonight as the Blues suffered a blow in their Champions League hopes.
