Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric has reportedly told friends that he’s open to sealing a transfer away from the Bernabeu in the summer, with a move to Serie A possibly on the cards.
Diario Gol claim that Modric’s team-mate Sergio Ramos is aware of this, and has informed club president Florentino Perez that the Croatian is considering his future.
The report states Modric could be a target for the likes of Inter Milan and Roma, though many would love to see him back in the Premier League.
The 32-year-old first established himself as a world class performer during his Tottenham days, spending four seasons on the books at White Hart Lane.
Still, the pace of the game in England may no longer be ideally suited to Modric’s style of play, as he heads towards the latter stages of his career.
Modric can leave Madrid with his head held high after tremendous success in the Spanish capital, winning La Liga and three Champions League titles since he moved to the club in 2012.
