Tottenham have been handed a major boost in their pursuit for AC Milan star Suso with the Italian club facing the reality that they may have to part ways with their star.

A report from the respected Italian outlet CalcioMercato has stated that Milan are struggling to pay the wages of all their stars and combined with a seriously poor run of form they could have to depart with the likes of Suso.

The report states that Tottenham had a €23m bid for the the 24-year-old rejected in the summer. However, the star has recently signed an extension deal that adds a release clause to his contract. The clause is reported to be €50m and opens the door to a possible exit for the star.

Suso has already spent time in England between 2012-2015 while playing for Liverpool having risen through their youth ranks. It was perhaps too much too soon for the midfielder who struggled to cement any constant gametime during his two years playing for the Reds.

However, the Spaniard has impressed since sealing a move away from the Reds in 2015 and has established himself as one of the most impressive attacking midfielders in the Serie A.

The star can play wide as-well as through the middle and he would certainly offer Spurs some much needed width.

Given Tottenham’s recent form with the North London club struggling to find the momentum they had at the start of the season they could certainly be eyeing a January move for the star.
