Juan Mata, Marouane Fellaini and Henrikh Mkhitaryan could all leave Manchester United next summer as Jose Mourinho looks to clear out dead weight.

A report from the respected Italian outlet CalcioMercato has suggested that three of Man United’s biggest stars could be shown the door.

Mkhitaryan and Mata appear to have both fallen out of favour with Mourinho as Jesse Lingard now looks to have stolen the starting position in the Man United  number ten role ahead of the Armenian and Spaniard. The mentioned report suggests that Mkhitaryan himself could leave as soon as January.

Further, Belgian star Fellaini is yet to have signed a contract extension at Old Trafford and the star could depart on a free next summer.

In total the three United stars that look to be leaving Man United cost the Red Devils an astonishing combined fee of £90.9m.

Fellaini was the first of the three to arrive at Old Trafford with David Moyes purchasing the star from Everton in 2013 for £27.5m (per the BBC). Juan Mata was another Moyes signing with the Spaniard arriving from Premier League rivals Chelsea for £37.1m in January 2014 (per the BBC). Mkhitaryan was a Mourinho signing but has struggled to find himself in the self-proclaimed special one’s plans after signing from Borussia Dortmund in 2016 for £26.3m (per Sky Sports).
