Arsenal and Manchester United look set to miss out on the transfer of Goncalo Guedes with reports in France claiming he’s close to a £31million move to Valencia.

The PSG attacking midfielder has shone on loan at the Mestalla this season and L’Equipe now claim a fee has been agreed for him to move to Spain on a permanent deal.

Additional information from the Sun claims Arsenal and Manchester United were also interested in Guedes, but now look set to miss out on his signature.

The Portugal international has long been considered an exciting young talent, and finally seems to be living up to his potential after a strong start to life in La Liga.

Guedes struggled for playing time in this star-studded PSG squad, particularly after the summer arrivals of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in attack.

The 21-year-old could have made a useful addition for the likes of Arsenal and United, both of whom have their issues in attack at the moment.

The Gunners have both Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil heading towards the ends of their contracts, while United have lacked spark in that part of the pitch in recent big games.

Valencia, however, will feel they’ve pulled off a major coup here if they do end up finalising a £31m deal for Guedes.
