Manchester United could get a clear run at signing Tottenham striker Harry Kane as reports suggest Real Madrid will focus on the Neymar transfer instead.
According to Don Balon, Real believe Kane may be too expensive at around £177million, and Florentino Perez would rather not blow so much money when he’s thinking long-term about bringing Neymar to the Bernabeu.
Kane has previously been linked with United for a similar fee by the Sun, who claimed the Red Devils could try a £170m move for the England hit-man in the near future.
One of the most lethal finishers in the game at the moment, Kane ended 2017 as top scorer in Europe, ahead of big names like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The 24-year-old achieved this with two hat-tricks in his final two matches of the year against Burnley and Southampton, and it’s little surprise big clubs are supposedly showing an interest.
United would surely love to have the chance to poach Kane from Spurs, and will presumably be delighted to hear of Real’s cooling interest, as per Don Balon.
With Romelu Lukaku not firing at the moment, Kane would likely be a major upgrade in Jose Mourinho’s attack, which will surely be a priority for next season if the club are to have any hope of catching Pep Guardiola’s unstoppable Manchester City side.
