Manchester United may have received a major boost in their pursuit of Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann as he seemingly has concerns over his transfer to Barcelona.
The France international has been strongly linked with both clubs in recent times after his fine form for current club Atletico, with plenty of talk that United and Barca could trigger his €100million release clause in the summer.
Still, with Barcelona set to sign Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho for somewhere in the region of £142m, Griezmann is now concerned they may not be able to afford him, according to Don Balon.
It is yet to be confirmed how much the Catalan giants have to spend, but this could put United back in a strong position to swoop for the talented 26-year-old.
Jose Mourinho could certainly do with more options in attack after an indifferent start to life at Old Trafford for Romelu Lukaku this season.
Griezmann looks one of the best goalscorers in the world and can play a variety of roles out wide, behind the main striker or as a centre-forward himself.
With Barcelona prioritising a move for Coutinho right now, it could end up costing them in the transfer battle for Griezmann.
