Manchester United have contacted Leicester City about sealing the transfer of striker Jamie Vardy, who’d cost around £35million, according to the Telegraph.
The England international has been one of the top centre-forwards in the country in recent years, and could be an ideal player to provide backup to Romelu Lukaku.
With Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s injury, the Telegraph also claim United have asked about West Ham ace Javier Hernandez, formerly of United, as another option as well.
As of this morning, Liverpool were made favourites by Sky Bet to seal the transfer of Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann.
This came rather out of nowhere, with much recent speculation linking the France international with a move to United or Barcelona.
The Sun claimed Griezmann could be tempted to snub Barca for United for a huge contract, but it remains to be seen if there’s anything behind this sudden shift to Liverpool with the bookies.
