Man United have been dealt a massive boost over the future of in-demand star David De Gea, with the club set to offer the player a new £300,000-a-week deal to keep at the club for the long term.
This is according to the Sun, who state that the Red Devils are set to offer the Spanish a new deal in the near future that would see the ‘keeper be level with ace Paul Pogba as the player’s highest paid player.
The news outlet are also stating that Real Madrid are interested in signing the ‘keeper, and that a source at the club has said that talks between the two parties will begin “very soon”.
Man United fans will be over the moon with this news, as Red Devils supporters would’ve been distraught to see one of their side’s most important figures leave the club.
Since his move to Old Trafford from Spanish side Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2011, De Gea has seen himself labelled as one of the best shot-stoppers on the planet.

Some have even gone as far to say that the player is the best player in his position, ahead of stars such as Manuel Neuer and Jan Oblak.
