Manchester United have gone 3-0 up against Stoke City thanks to another fine individual goal on the night from Romelu Lukaku.
The Belgium international hasn’t been firing lately but showed his critics what he can do here with a brilliant solo effort from inside the penalty area.
Anthony Martial found Lukaku with what looked an over-hit pass, but Lukaku controlled it superbly before beating two Stoke City players in the box to slam the ball home.
This is the kind of goal United signed Lukaku for, and he’ll be relieved to have got in on the act against Stoke in what has been a rather dominant display by the home side.
Antonio Valencia opened the scoring earlier with a peach of a striker before Martial added a second with another beautifully-taken effort from outside the box.
Lukaku’s is up there for individual quality, and fans will hope this is the start of another scoring streak like the one he showed at the start of the season.
