Chelsea pressing to sign Manchester United target as they’re convinced Eden Hazard will seal Real Madrid transfer

Chelsea reportedly fear they will lose Eden Hazard to Real Madrid next summer and that seems to be behind their pursuit of Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez.

This is according to Don Balon, who describe it as an ‘impossible’ mission for the Blues to keep hold of Hazard amid interest from the Spanish giants.

The Manchester Evening News recently linked Chelsea with an interest in Sanchez this January, as the Chile international looks almost certain to leave Arsenal this month.

The latest from the Daily Express is that the 29-year-old remains set for an imminent move to United, and that he could even make his debut against Burnley this weekend.

If that does pan out as expected, then it could significantly harm Real’s chances of signing Hazard, according to Don Balon.

Sanchez may hold the key to two huge transfer sagas here, while his departure will of course also affect a number of Arsenal’s plans this winter.

The Daily Mirror claim Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is a target for the Gunners, and he’d be an ideal replacement if Sanchez were to leave the Emirates Stadium.
