Chelsea star reaches incredible landmark with goal against Brighton

Chelsea star Eden Hazard’s goal against Brighton this afternoon was a special one for him as it marked the 100th league goal of his professional career.

The Belgium international made it 1-0 after just three minutes in today’s early kickoff, with the Blues now 2-0 as Willian added a second shortly afterwards.

One of the best players in the world on his day, Hazard has certainly been an influential performer at Chelsea and this fine achievement just goes to show what a career he’s had.

Hazard started out at Lille and scored 36 goals in Ligue 1 before making the move to Chelsea back in the summer of 2012.

It didn’t take long for the skillful attacker to settle in England and he’s since won two Premier League titles and been awarded the PFA Player of the Year prize.

Today was his 64th league goal for Chelsea, making it 100 in total – a hugely impressive century for a player who’s not really an out-and-out striker.

Spending much of his career on the wing or in a number ten role, the 27-year-old has done remarkably to keep being in and among the goals and will be happy to have managed this memorable feat today.
