Manchester United make big decision on Real Madrid raid due to imminent Alexis Sanchez transfer from Arsenal

Manchester United’s imminent transfer swoop for Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez looks set to end their pursuit of Real Madrid pair Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale, according to Marca.

The Spanish outlet claim it’s only a matter of time before Sanchez becomes a United player, and that with that Jose Mourinho does not wish to pursue a deal for Ronaldo.

Marca also claim that Sanchez taking the number 7 shirt at Old Trafford could affect things, as that is the number Ronaldo so famously wore during his first spell with the Red Devils.

The report adds that Mourinho is also unconvinced about doing a deal for Bale either, though that has also been the case for a while due to his recent poor injury record.

It looks like Manchester United will not be signing Gareth Bale or Cristiano Ronaldo

Don Balon claimed yesterday that Bale was looking to leave the Bernabeu and that a move to United would be his first choice, though he’d also be open to other offers as Chelsea and Tottenham could be options.

AS, meanwhile, recently claimed Ronaldo was eager to return to United, but it seems the Portugal international will not get his wish.

United fans may still have a lot of love for the veteran forward, but a move for Sanchez right now arguably makes far more sense as he’s at the peak of his powers.

The Chile international has been superb in his time in the Premier League with Arsenal and also looks a bargain signing due to his contract situation at the Emirates Stadium.
