Arsenal target teases move with Instagram post as transfer appears imminent

Arsenal could reportedly be on the brink of a major double signing, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan has continued to tease fans ahead of a move.

As noted by BBC Sport, the Armenian international has agreed to a move to the Emirates as part of the deal that is taking Alexis Sanchez to Manchester.

It’s claimed in that report that he was scheduled to undergo his medical on Sunday, and so the expectation is that he will be officially unveiled as an Arsenal player in the very near future.

In the meantime, he has been busy celebrating his 29th birthday along with agent Mino Raiola and Paul Pogba, as seen in his Instagram post below, while asking in his caption: “What am I getting for my birthday?”

Naturally, many Arsenal fans have flooded his comments section and insisted that a move to join the Gunners will be his present, and they’ll be hoping that he can help fill the void left behind by Sanchez when the deal is completed.

In addition, it’s worth noting that a lot of United fans have also commented, expressing real disappointment that he is set to leave Old Trafford as although he showed glimpses of his class, it was all too inconsistent as he struggled to establish himself as a regular in the line-up.

As noted by The Sun, not only did Arsenal fans have that to be excited about, but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang liked the post amid speculation that he is also on the club’s radar this month, as per the same report.

The pair of course know each other well having played together at Borussia Dortmund, and so that part of the tease could be more innocent.

Nevertheless, having scored 62 goals and provided 44 assists between them in the 2015/16 campaign, their last together in Germany, coupled with Mesut Ozil and Alexandre Lacazette forming part of the attacking line-up, that potential Arsenal unit could be deadly going forward if both moves materialise this month.
