Real Madrid president sets aside £394million to seal epic transfer of Premier League star

Real Madrid are reportedly setting aside as much as £394million to seal the transfer of Tottenham striker Harry Kane, taking into account his transfer fee and wages.

According to Don Balon, Florentino Perez plans to splash out around £175m alone for Kane’s transfer fee as he makes replacing Karim Benzema a top priority.

Real have struggled in front of goal for much of this season, with players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema looking well past their peak, while Gareth Bale has struggled with injuries.

Kane could be a major upgrade after a storming run of form this season, which has seen him score 29 goals in 29 games in all competitions so far this term.

Undoubtedly one of the finest finishers in the game, the 24-year-old looks ready to make the step up to a truly elite European club as he may struggle to turn his goals into silverware in north London.

Harry Kane is a big-money transfer target for Real Madrid

Tottenham haven’t won a trophy since the 2007/08 season, though they have recently established themselves as more serious contenders in the title race in the last couple of seasons.

Kane, however, may want to aim higher and they don’t get much bigger than Real Madrid when it comes to winning the biggest trophies.

Real won La Liga last season and have lifted the Champions League trophy three times in the last four seasons.
