Real Madrid star tells friends major transfer deal with Manchester United is on

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has reportedly told friends he’s confident Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea will be Los Blancos’ next ‘Galactico’ transfer.

Don Balon recently claimed Real could offer as many as two players to United in order to bring De Gea to the Bernabeu at long last, after BBC Sport reported a deal came close to going through before collapsing late on in 2015.

The Spain international is one of the finest ‘keepers on the planet and has been instrumental for United in recent years with a series of match-winning displays.

Only recently, De Gea put in one of the performances of his career as he helped United to a 3-1 win away to Arsenal as he repeatedly kept the Gunners out despite them creating plenty of fine scoring opportunities.

That is the calibre of player Real need as an upgrade on the unconvincing Keylor Navas in goal, and Don Balon claim Ramos has seemingly learned the deal could be set to go through.

The Spanish source claims talks are underway over a deal and they do not expect Real to miss out on the 27-year-old on this occasion.

Ramos is a key figure in Madrid and may be kept up to date on the club’s transfer dealings, but it remains to be seen if he’s getting ahead of himself here.

Recent speculation suggests De Gea is a target for the club again, but Marca also list Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois as an option after Real missed out on the signing of Kepa from Athletic Bilbao.
